As with everything in life, mistakes occur. The cosmetic surgery industry is no exception, and some really huge mistakes can occur here too. For instance, if the anesthetics weren’t done right, you might be left feeling a lot of pain, or numb for a really long time. Sometimes there might be uncontrollable bleeding during the procedure. Worse still, there could be a major mistake in the procedure and you could end up badly scarred and feeling self conscious for life, even more than you were before – which probably led you to take the cosmetic surgery in the first place.
In the case of breast surgery, if you have just gotten out of one only to find out that something is definitely wrong, you might have to go for another surgery – this is termed the ‘revisit” surgery.
Here are some of the things that could go wrong in a breast surgery:
* Irregular symmetry: A the name says, this is when after a breast lift you discover that your breasts become mismatched, sort of. This can be seen if one breast is a little higher than the other, or if one is larger than the other. When you regard yourself in a mirror, it won’t be hard for you to notice the skewed slant to your breasts. The reason for this is that in the process of the surgery, your doctor might have made one breast fuller than the other, or he may not have perfectly relocated your nipples. You might be a little miffed that a surgeon could make such a tragic mistake. The thing is this: it is often hard to work out these things, or your surgeon may simply not have been qualified for the job.
* Sometimes your surgeon might take a little too much of the skin off your breasts. This is another botched surgery, because the skin just won’t grow back. If that is what happened, you will have to go for revision surgery where your skin will have to be replaced by transferring from another part of your body through the wonders of skin grafting. Sometimes the problem might be that he didn’t take enough of the skin off the breast. Although this is a smaller problem compared to when he hakes too much, it is nonetheless a problem that should be corrected. Sometimes the silicone might just be too much or too little. You can use revision surgery to correct it.
* A really ugly job: this is all the handiwork of a really bad surgeon. You find a lot of scars on this job, and a lot of harm done to your breast tissue. Believe me, it is not a happy sight, and it tends to take its toll on the emotional part of a woman. Breast revision is not a sure way to totally remove all these defects, but it will make everything more manageable. However make the right choice and go for a professional so you won’t have to regret your breast surgery later.
