Panasonic is an industry leader in business and consumer electronics. It has been synonymous with style, quality, and innovation for over five decades. Panasonic was founded in 1918 by 23 year old, Konosuke Matsushita. He originally called it “Matsushita Electric Housewares Manufacturing Works.” Matsushita was a very dedicated and hard-working worker and led his company to great new heights. Today, Panasonic is known worldwide. It has made an everlasting impression in the minds of its consumers and created a niche for itself.

The term telephony to the general use of equipment is used to provide voice communication over distances, specifically by connecting telephones to each other. Panasonic telephony held the #1 global leadership positions in the cordless telephone market as per the MZA Ltd report in 2008. The Panasonic telephony range is divided into certain broad categories as stated below.

IP Proprietary Telephones: The KX-NT321 has only one line. It comes with 8 programmable keys, digital speakerphone, and the standard 2 Ethernet ports and 2.5 mm port. This model is relatively basic. The KX-NT343 comes with digital speakerphones and a 2.5 mm headset jack. It has 3 lines and 2 Ethernet ports for additional connections. This model also comes with 24 flexible CO buttons and an adjustable LCD screen. This phone is wall mountable and is Bluetooth enabled. This model also comes with an extra button to access the menu using the LCD screen. The KX-NT346 has similar features to its previous model KX-NT343 except that it is a 6-line phone. This phone has a 4-step handset and ringer volume control. The LCD is larger than the KX-NT343. This phone is wall mountable and also has an adjustable alphanumeric display. The KX-NT366 is the next model under this line, with similar features as the 346. This model comes with autodial and auto-answer and has 48 programmable keys. The functionality of the model is increased because of its dual LED indicators. The KX-NT400 is the most advanced of these models. This model comes with a color touch screen and also incorporates network camera integration.

SIP Telephones: This line features the KX-HGT100 phone which uses “Session Initiation Protocol” technology to lower call costs. It is a 2-line phone and has the standard 2 Ethernet ports. It is best suited for companies that have offices in different geographical locations, as this phone can be used along with KX-TDE and KX-NCP PBX.

IP Conferencing Phones: The KX-NT700 is very helpful for having meetings because it has three party conferencing and it can connect through IP as well as through the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). This phone features high definition sound quality and full duplex echo canceller to make meetings appear more “face-to-face.” It also comes with an SD card so calls can be recorded and later played back. These phones are compatible with the KX-TDE, NCP series.

Digital Proprietary Telephones: This range was launched in 2009 and is compatible with KX-TDA, KX-TDE, and KX-NCP Phone Systems. The KX-DT321 is the basic model with only one line and 8 performance keys. This model also features a full duplex speakerphone, 2 step tilt angle, and a headset jack. They also have hands free speech, LCD display, and DSS console option. KX-DT333 has more or less similar features to the 321. The main difference is that this model is a 3-line phone and has 24 performance keys. KX-DT343 is a more upgraded version that incorporates certain additional features like Bluetooth, USB, 7-step tilt angle, and has an add-on 12-key module for additional connectivity. KX-DT346 is similar to 343 models, but is a 6-line instead of a 3-line phone.

Wireless: KX-TCA355 and KX-TD7696 are touchtype phone with basic features like LCD backlight, incoming call indication, caller ID, Phonebook, etc. KX-TCA175 and KX-TCA275 are color LCD models with additional features like 200 entry phonebook, CTI application, 6-line LCD backlight, speakerphone, programmable soft keys, etc.

Panasonic telephony has one of the most extensive collections of phones. Each phone is unique in its own way and is far superior to its competitors in design, features, and style.
